By accessing this Website, purchasing goods, or availing of our services, you agree to be bound by the following Terms and Conditions.

1. Regulatory Compliance & Purity Assurance

  • BIS Hallmarking: In compliance with the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) directives of the Government of India, all gold jewelry offered for sale on this Website is mandatory BIS Hallmarked and laser-engraved with a unique HUID (Hallmark Unique Identification) number.
  • Product Testing: Customers can verify the authenticity of their purchase using the official BIS Care App by using the HUID mentioned on the invoice.

2. Market-Linked Pricing & Errors

  • Gold & Silver Rate Fluctuations: Prices of jewelry pieces are directly tied to bullion market rates and can change multiple times a day without prior notice. The price locked at the time of your order placement is final.
  • Typographical Pricing Errors: Jewelry involves complex calculation matrices (metal weight + making charges + stone carats + GST). If an item is listed at an incorrect price due to a system glitch or data entry error, Sagar Jewellers reserves the right to cancel the order. We will notify you immediately and issue a 100% refund to the original payment method.

3. Order Verification & Indian Taxation

  • KYC Requirements: In accordance with Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) guidelines in India, orders exceeding ₹2,00,000 (Two Lakhs INR) require the mandatory submission of the buyer’s PAN Card copy before dispatch. Failure to provide valid KYC will result in order cancellation.
  • Goods & Services Tax (GST): All domestic sales are subject to statutory GST mandates (typically 3% GST on jewelry and 5% GST on making charges), which will be calculated and displayed clearly at checkout.

4. Shipping, High-Value Transit, and Logistics

  • Fully Insured Transit: Every delivery originating from our facility is 100% insured against theft or loss during transit until it reaches your doorstep.
  • OTP/Signature Verification: Due to the high value of cargo, packages will only be handed over upon verification of a secure One-Time Password (OTP) sent to your registered mobile number or a physical signature with valid ID proof.
  • Unboxing Video Mandate: To claim any transit damage or missing items, the customer must record a continuous, unedited unboxing video from the moment the sealed courier tamper-proof bag is opened. Without this visual evidence, transit claims cannot be processed.

5. Returns, Lifetime Exchange, and Buyback Policy

  • Online Sales are Final: Sagar Jewellers does not accept any returns, cancellations, or cash/bank refunds for orders processed through Sagarjewellers.com once they are dispatched.
  • 100% Store Exchange Policy: Customers can exchange their purchased jewelry at 100% value of the net metal weight based on the prevailing current market rate on the day of the exchange. This exchange option is only available physically at our showroom: Shop no.2, Tricity Avenue, Plot no.181, Sector 20, Ulwe, Navi Mumbai.
  • Showroom Buyback Policy: We offer a lifetime buyback on jewelry purchased from our website. The buyback valuation will be calculated at the current market rate of the precious metal on the day of liquidation, executed physically at our Ulwe showroom.
  • Deduction Conditions for Exchange & Buyback:
    • The 100% valuation applies strictly to the net weight of the gold/precious metal.
    • Making charges, stone weights, diamond charges, design charges, value additions, and statutory taxes (GST) paid during the initial purchase are strictly non-refundable and non-exchangeable.
    • The original commercial invoice and valid government ID proof must be physically presented at the showroom by the original buyer.
    • Any item showing signs of structural alteration, third-party repair, damage, or missing elements will be subject to quality-melt analysis before an exchange or buyback value is authorized.

6. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising from transactions on this Website shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Panvel, Maharashtra.
